The Academy has 10 Faculties: Management in Engineering Industry, Management in Energetics, Management in Chemical and Metallurgy Industries, Management on Transport, Management in Construction and Municipal Economy, Economic Cybernetics, International Economic Relations, Economics and Production Management, Sociology and Master's Training which enroll 5200 of full-time and 3000 of part-time students. There are 14 branches of Department offices at industrial works and research institutes.

The Academy has more than 700 teachers and professors are employed at 44 Department offices, including 2 Academicians, 4 Associate Academicians, 5 Honoured Scientists and Engineers, 125 Professors, Doctors of Sciences, 380 Associate Professors, Candidates of Sciences.

Students are trained in 7 specialities: sociology, document science and document are of management, accounting, control and analysis of economic activities, international economic relations, economic informatics and automated systems of management, economic cybernetics, economics and production management.

The Academy has a "Management Centre" with the status of an Institute, including the High School of Management, International School of Business and the Faculty of Management and Innovations in Education.

The Academy also has preparatory training courses, the Economic-Mathematical School for beginning managers and facilities for qualification improvement for managers and specialists from different enterprises, and lecturers of higher institutions and business schools.

The Academy research programme corresponds to the specialists' training orientation. There are 16 doctorates and 345 post-graduate students doing their respective courses, 2 Specialized Councils for defending Doctor's and 9 Councils - for Candidate's dissertations.

The Academy is a base establishment of higher economic education in the country, it heads the educational-problem association on training management personnel which unites more than 50 higher education institutions, including 15 State Universities. The Academy cooperates with foreign Universities and business schools of the USA and United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, France, Holland, Japan, Italy, Finland, India, China as, for example, Sloun's MTI Business School, St. Thomas University (the USA), Wolverhampton, Neweustle and Stafford Universities (UK), Universities of Passau and Augsburg (Germany) and many others.
